Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s Ooredoo on Tuesday signed an agreement with Ericson to provide wireless, core and broadcast networks solutions, in addition to providing installation and integration services related to those networks.
The agreement includes providing wireless transmission equipment and related services. It also comprises Ericsson Software Model and its predefined software value packages, which helps in guaranteeing better performance for the Qatari telecommunication provider.
Using the new solutions will also help in meeting the growing expectations of its users, according to a statement by the company and obtained by Mubasher.
“The agreement will enable the group of benefiting from the latest equipment, software and services provided by Ericson, as well as providing competitive offers for the company’s users,” said Ooredoo’ss Chief Operating Officer Ahmed Al-Derbesti.
Rafiah Ibrahim, President and Head of Region Middle East and North East Africa, said that the region witnesses a digital turn driven by the innovation of telecom services and solutions, and the high demand on devises.
